3D: Lunance
Project: Exhibition pavilion
Location: Sydney
We’ve written about two philosophies of architectural visualization. Here’s another classification of renders:
1.Commercial
These are more common in work with developers. Their purpose is to aid in the sale of commercial or residential real estate projects. Therefore, the main criterion is to captivate and immerse the potential client in the atmosphere of the future project. Such tasks always operate within strict time frames.
2.Artistic
Typically, these are non-commercial projects for portfolios, or competition or conceptual architectural projects. The basis of such works is a strict focus on architecture. Any atmosphere is permissible, even up to a dramatic view. We’ve written about sketch (architectural presentation) before, so here are some characteristics of non-commercial projects: high-quality, detailed, artistic, for personal satisfaction. But they take a very long time.
PS While these classifications exist, it’s always important to try to find a reasonable compromise between these styles.
