A scatter is a tool for parametric distribution of objects across a scene. We use it for placing vegetation, cars, street lights, curtains behind windows, etc.

We have already made a note on scatters and why we use Corona Scatter as our primary tool.

Let’s examine the structure of scatter layers using vegetation as an example (the logic remains the same for other elements):

  • / tr-spl-name (guiding splines or surfaces on which the scatter places objects)
  • / tr-models-name (objects distributed by the scatter)
