Optimization Splines and Modifiers

It’s no secret that an unclosed stack of modifiers slows down scene processing and significantly increases the opening time. However, indiscriminately collapsing the stack limits your flexibility when you need to make certain edits to the original geometry.

For example, let’s take genplan surfaces converted to poly. On the one hand, everything works quickly at the moment, but if you need to make an adjustment, like adding a road or a new construction zone, you will have to extract the spline from the geometry, which will have a huge number of points and, therefore, be unsuitable for editing. Therefore, collapsing splines and modifier stacks should only be done if you are sure that the object will never undergo adjustments.
