GORK JOURNAL

Market, Renders, AI, and 2026

3D: GORK STUDIO
Client: VTB
Location: Sochi, Russia

It’s been a while since we last posted about 3D visualization and what’s happening in my primary business, GORK STUDIO. For those who joined us recently, we create architectural renders, while the journal itself grew out of the studio’s development—a story I’ll tell separately soon.

To keep it short: knock on wood, we’re doing well and moving in a positive direction. We have new clients, plenty of inquiries from Moscow and other regions, and the course we’ve chosen feels absolutely right. The only problem is that we still haven’t managed to update our portfolio. After integrating AI into all of our workflows, the level of detail and quality has gone through the roof. Once we reorganize everything, we’ll publish a separate update about it.

As for the market in general, I’ll repeat a comparison I recently shared with my team: it’s like we’re walking through the crater of a volcano, but along a narrow, cool path.

No matter what people tell me about stability, no matter how impressive ARCH Moscow may look, and no matter how many project inquiries you receive (which is often the result of good marketing and a strong reputation), the number of job-seeking messages coming from production specialists and management-level professionals clearly suggests deeper issues. Whether it’s a lack of workload, a mismatch in pricing strategies, or salary expectations, something is happening beneath the surface.

Over the last one and a half to two months, interesting resumes have been arriving almost every day. I personally review all of them. I read, evaluate, and whenever possible, try to connect people with opportunities. Please don’t be offended if I can't respond to everyone in detail—there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

I don't have a magic answer to the eternal question: "What should we do?" The market has changed dramatically with the arrival of AI. At the same time, political and economic realities—both in Russia and globally—leave little room for complacency. Working relentlessly and continuously improving the skills you already excel at is probably the only thing that allows us to keep moving along this narrow, cool path through the volcano.
