Travertine

Project: Museum and Cultural Forum Arnsberg
Architecture: Bez+Kock Architekten
Geo: Arnsberg, DE

I would like to add travertine to the list of favorite architectural materials. Given the limited number of deposits in Russia and consequently the high cost of the final product, travertine is rarely used for facade cladding in our regions. This material features a magical sandy pattern in expensive light beige tones and possesses the properties of both marble and limestone, making it flexible in processing and low-maintenance in use.

But the key aspect is the tactile sensations. They vary and depend on the texture and processing method. One thing I can say: only with travertine do I have a persistent desire to approach the facade and touch it.

PS A small announcement for attentive readers from the 3D visualization department:

We are considering several candidates for paid testing for upcoming studio projects. The initial quota is one image per artist. Those who successfully complete their tasks/renders will have the opportunity to work with us full-time or on a project basis remotely. We are looking for senior and mid-level artists and generalists.

Please send portfolios here: https://gorkstudio.com/jobs

In the note, please mark it as GJ.
