Gork, transition to impressionism

3D Impressionism

The gradual transition from classicism to impressionism marked a pivotal stage in painting, where the balance between realism and associative images began to tilt in favor of the latter. Initially, this was driven by the search for technical solutions (Renoir, Monet, Korovin). Later, with the advent of expressionism (Munch, Van Gogh) and subsequent abstract art (Kandinsky, Malevich), the concept of reality nearly vanished.

Despite most post-classical artists being capable of painting in a realistic style (consider the early work of abstract artist Mondrian, Girl with Flowers), they expanded the boundaries of art, allowing viewers to form their own images and emotions, merely guided by their works.

Turning back to 3D, I occasionally observe professionals embedding something more than just photorealism in their works. It’s quite possible that we’re on the brink of entering an era of "3D Impressionism."
