The main theme of the annual exhibition at Gostiny Dvor is Sustainability. Personally, this term somewhat grates on my ears and subconsciously does not associate with the meanings it implies. The problem is that the now unfashionable Anglicism "Sustainability" (directly translated as stability) actually possesses the missing characteristics. In my humble opinion, it would be more appropriate to denote this term at least by transliteration, or to give a closer semantic concept, for example, balanced or eco-architecture.
As one of the speakers put it: "The concept of sustainability for the architectural industry as a whole, in the context of everything happening in the world now, has acquired a new and completely literal meaning."
Regarding the exposition, as usual, there are many interesting stands, and I definitely recommend spending leisure time on the weekend and reflecting on the theme of sustainability.
