Facade Glazing

Architecture: UNStudio
Series: The Looking Glass
Client: Warenar
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Remember how we recently talked about the role of reflections in water? Well, continuous facade glazing can create a similar effect, even with a very strict classical facade. It’s important, though, that the surroundings allow the reflection to be enriched with details.

However, for architects at UNStudio, simple glass seemed insufficient, so they decided to give it the form… of a tulip unfolding in the wind.

An elegant solution and very much in the spirit of Amsterdam architecture.
