Working Under NDA

Cycle: Evaluation of Visualization Projects

A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a crucial aspect to clarify at the initial engagement with a project. This condition implies a complete or partial restriction on using the studio's work results in its portfolio. While a partial NDA does not lead to an increase in the project cost (e.g., a prohibition on publication until the developer's sales start), a "permanent" NDA is essentially work solely for financial gain. Studios attract new clients by publishing completed projects. In the case of a "permanent" NDA, the client deprives the studio of this marketing tool, requiring investment in paid promotion channels, which leads to an increase in the project cost.

Projects under "permanent" NDA are typically practiced in two cases:

  1. When collaborating with large advertising agencies or studios.
  2. When the visualization object is, for example, a tank training ground or the residence of the Supreme Commander :)
