It has been a while since we had Zaha on the channel. The legacy of the Great Architect lives on and continues to delight with forms that, it seems to me, challenge the engineering department.

The bureau rarely experimented with colors other than white. Today’s guest is an office campus, whose composition is entwined with golden parametric panels. Despite the color, the signature style of Zaha’s bureau is immediately recognizable. I would like to highlight the location of the construction site: it is a former industrial area surrounded by a railway station. The parametric context of the facade geometry resonates with the railway tracks, ensuring an organic semantic integration into the urban landscape.

Working with Zaha Hadid is not easy, but it is interesting. We have experience collaborating with them on the Chengdu Historical Museum project. The key specificity is deadlines. They are non-existent: for a minute-long animation, we were given a quota of one month, without geometry, in an unfamiliar Chinese city, without a script, etc.

However, I recommend consciously taking on such projects at least once a year. If we set aside the obvious reputational advantages of working with such a client, the rush keeps the team sharp. In conditions of limited time, unexpected and previously untested options for technical implementation arise.
