Traditional Iranian House

As far as I remember, Iranian architecture has not yet appeared in the pages of the magazine. Let's correct this misunderstanding. When selecting material for publication, sometimes the perspective averages the visual indicators of unusual projects so much that flipping through them in a stream creates a false impression that a new Pantheon has not appeared in the world over the last day. When there are hints of such reasoning, one should radically change the geography of searches.

Before us is a reconstruction of a wealthy traditional house from the Qajar era. The essence of the work is similar to what EMAAR did with the Pearl Museum in Bahrain — saving it from destruction and gradually stripping away all modern additions from the historical foundation.

The clay shades of ochre give it a decorative, if not toy-like appearance. The understated patterns, rhythmic composition, and grand white accents maintain a balance in the overall perception. Even without knowing the specifics of Iranian architecture, this house is perceived on an emotional level as an object that once belonged to wealthy aristocrats.
