Wooden Five-Story Building

And this is by no means clickbait. Before you is indeed a five-story building, the structure of which is made of wood. An unusual solution in our time. Interestingly, regulations for such objects in the States have existed for only three years.

Externally, the building’s structure gives nothing away, and the strict aluminum ventilated facade with a clinker base only emphasizes this feeling. It is revealed by the wooden ceilings, like the lapels of a jacket. But the most interesting part begins with the inner courtyard and interiors. Imagine: you live in a prestigious area of New York, in a building with only 15 apartments, and the monthly rent is $ 7,000−9,000, yet the building is wooden! For the qualities of wood such as coziness, warmth, scent, and my "favorite" term—complete sustainability—one can forgive its rather restrained appearance. What do you think of this solution?

PS I noticed from the statistics that you are a bit tired of long cycles. We will mix them up and gradually return to reviews of broader architecture—I miss them too. There is a lot of material accumulated in the backlog.

PPS The main thing is not to drown in Gork Studio projects, but you can always help us by filling out the collaboration form for creating good renders. There are many tasks, and the volume is growing.
