In every field, there are practical exercises to maintain tone and working form. In visualization, this is photography.

Firstly, it develops a sense of composition, which is essential for a favorable presentation of a project and its comfortable perception.

Secondly, it builds up being well-informed and attention to detail. The combination of plans, play with light and subjects allows for endlessly practicing skills on real objects.

And finally, the technical side of the process. After all, renders are nothing but imitations of photographs. The toolkit of such elements, like a camera in 3ds Max, is completely physically accurate and duplicates parameters such as ISO, shutter speed, focal length, etc. Practical understanding of the technical aspects allows for implementing ideas based on given references.
