Architecture: WOHA
Project: Parkroyal on Pickering
Location: Singapore
I have mixed feelings about Singapore’s green architecture. Some buildings look like they’re straight out of a post-apocalyptic movie: wrapped in greenery, with unreadable architectural forms and distorted façade colors under the green cover.
On the other hand, the neat format of utilized rooftops as green recreational areas on roofs and terraces successfully complements the appearance of the buildings.
I’m soon going to talk with Ilya Mochalov, the head of the eponymous landscape bureau. It will be interesting to learn about our realities in this field, as well as the features of the utilized rooftops in Russia, which our developers love so much. We will try to dispel some myths.
