Black Architecture

Based on my observations in digital media content design, I’ve long noticed that conversions with a white color palette always outperform black. This is despite the fact that black designs sometimes look significantly more stylish.

Regarding architecture, finding interesting references in a black palette is more challenging. I even bought a book, "Black: Architecture in Monochrome," which features a collection of such designs. The issue, in my opinion, lies in the fact that black first consumes space and secondly, turns any object into a local dominant regardless of its size. Careful consideration is needed in the design stage to ensure such a decision resonates with the surroundings. Otherwise, instead of being stylish, it risks becoming a mournful story.

Here are a couple more good examples: this project and the second frame in this publication.
